Barry Meuse retired from the U.S. Air Force in the grade of Colonel after 21 years’ service. Barry is the current President and Chairman of the Board of Directors Hyperbaric Medicine International, a 501c4 nonprofit corporation and the preeminent international advocate for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Barry served in the U.S. Air Force as a combat fighter pilot at various stations around the world and as a senior Air Force planner in the Pentagon. Today, he is an advocate for Veteran issues and a 100% service-disabled combat Veteran. His focus is on restoring Veterans to normal lives and reuniting them with their families with hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). Military awards include the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medals (2), Air Medals (11), Outstanding Unit Awards (3) and various military campaign citations. In addition, he was awarded the Outstanding Research Award at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces for a study of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve for the National Security Council staff.
